Post Office closures - on our doorstep

Residents of Wesley Road should be aware that our local post office at 674 High Road is under threat of closure. The post office propose that we should use either James Lane or Lea Bridge road as an alternative.

If you wish to protest about this proposed action you can do one of the following;

A) Go to the post office ASAP and sign the petition at the counter

B) Write to Anita Turner, Network Development Manager, Post Office Limited, C/O National Consultation Team, FREEPOST CONSULTATION TEAM.

C) Email them consultation@postoffice.co.uk

See a news report from the local news website by clicking the title heading above.

The Post Office (or is it Royal Mail?) take no notice of the views of local residents. They still go ahead with closures. This happened in my corner of Bermondsey a couple of years ago. Despite lots of local opposition, a petition and support from the local MP, it was still closed.

Hi Greg, You were spot on, our protests fell on deaf ears. The sub post office is no longer. It is now yet another of many grocery type stores that is littering our high street (six within a stones throw). The next nearest sub post office that remains reduced his counter to a single person sized booth and the queue is often out of the door.
